WELCOME HOME
I thought Big 12 Conference Interim Commissioner Chuck Neinas said it best to Chancellor Boschini, "I'd like to welcome you home." We'll always remember Oct. 10, 2011 as one of the more incredible days to be a Horned Frog! We are extremely appreciative of the Big 12 Board of Directors for their unanimous vote in selecting us to be the league's 10th member effective July 1, 2012. I would like to thank our coaches and student-athletes for all their hard work that resulted in the success we were able to accomplish on the playing field, providing us this opportunity. It didn't happen overnight. It's also a testament to our fans and donors. It's been a long time coming for you. I can't thank you enough for believing in TCU and making purple hot!

THE BIG 12 $212 SPECIAL
The best way to guarantee a football season ticket next year, for our debut in the Big 12, is to have season tickets this year. Including the Oct. 28 BYU game at Cowboys Stadium, we still have four home games left. Season-ticket packages for these remaining dates are available at our special Big 12 rate of $212. Please visit our website, call our Athletics Ticket Office (817-257-3764) or drop by in person in the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum to make your purchase. With 22,000 season-tickets sold this year, we set a new TCU mark. Next year promises to be another record-breaking total.
SELECTION WEEK UNDERWAY
We've completed the opening two days of our Club Seat Selection Week. It's gone very well, and it's been great to see many of you. A few years ago, who would have even thought we could have a Club Seat Selection Week. Davis Babb, our associate athletics director for development, and our Frog Club staff have done an outstanding job in the organization. One of the best parts of these events is visiting with you, having the opportunity to thank you in person and being able to answer your questions.
DEDICATION TIME
The dedication of our new weight room, known as the Physical Performance Center, will take place Friday at 2 p.m. It's open to the public. If you're in the area, please feel free to drop by.
MR. SCHIEFFER SPEAKS
Bob Schieffer has always been as loyal a Frog as there is. In his longtime and distinguished role at CBS, he has always spoken of TCU with tremendous pride. Here's a LINK to a recent interview he did in regards to our Big 12 move.
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
In case you haven't been by Amon G. Carter Stadium since our last home game, the steel is now in place for where we will be finishing off the upper deck on the west side.
HORNED FROG CLASSIC NEARING
Playing spots are still available for Monday's Horned Frog Classic at Colonial Country Club. This is one of our more important fundraisers. Please register online HERE or call (817) 257-7700 if you can hopefully make it out.
ON THE DOCKET
This weekend marks our final two home soccer matches of the season. We host Air Force Friday at 7 p.m. and Wyoming on Sunday at 1. How about the crowd this past Sunday night for our match with Texas Tech! We had nearly 2,500 at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium for our second-largest attendance in program history.
PRESEASON POLLS
Hoops season is just around the corner. In case you missed it from yesterday, our women's basketball program was picked to win the Mountain West this season.
FROM THE GRIDIRON
There's no off week. Coach Patterson simply calls it a get-better week. It's an open date on our schedule, but our football program has still been working hard on the practice field. We had a nice win at San Diego State last Saturday and will look to continue our goal of a Mountain West championship when we return to action next week with a 1 p.m. home game versus New Mexico. We'll then have our Friday night, Oct. 28, contest with BYU at Cowboys Stadium.
NATIONAL EXPOSURE
We talked last week about the great exposure for us being on the cover of Sporting News. It was part of Fort Worth-Dallas being recognized as the nation's top sports city. Now that the publication is out, make sure to pick up a copy. There's a great two-page photo essay from one of our recent home games.
PHOTO CONTEST
Make sure to check out our official TCU Athletics Facebook page for a new photo contest we're launching. You can enter by filling out a short form and uploading a picture of you from any TCU sporting event. The winner of whichever picture has the most "likes" will receive two tickets to a Horned Frog football game.
