ROSE BOWL CHAMPIONS!How about our Rose Bowl champions! Congratulations to the student-athletes and coaches in our football program for a memorable day in "The Granddaddy of Them All." The sea of purple in the stands in Pasadena was almost as much of a story as our win. We sincerely thank all of you who made the trip. You were loud and made a difference in the game.
WELCOME HOME
In addition to the terrific support in Southern California, we are also grateful for the more than 1,000 fans and supporters who greeted our football team upon its arrival back to campus Sunday afternoon. The smiles on the faces of our student-athletes and head coach Gary Patterson as they made their way through the crowd clearly showed how appreciative they were to receive that type of reception. The scene and atmosphere was reminiscent of the great turnout we had for our Pep Rally last Friday in L.A.
CELEBRATION
We are currently formulating plans for a celebration of our Rose Bowl championship. With classes not resuming until Monday, all of our students are currently on break. We'll keep you posted on a date and location. It's obviously important to do something, especially when we have our football student-athletes, band members and spirit groups back in town.
FROM THE TUBE
America was truly tuned in to the Frogs on Saturday. Our Rose Bowl Game was the most watched event, outside of the NFL, in ESPN and cable television history.
DRESS FOR SUCCESS
We've been very impressed with the strong demand for Rose Bowl merchandise. Please make sure to visit our on-line store at http://shop.gofrogs.com as well as the TCU Bookstore, Academy, Flash, Rally House, Walgreens, Kroger, Tom Thumb, Squire Shop, Fanzz, Macy's, JC Penney and Sam's Club.
