- TCU dropped to 9-6 overall and 1-3 in true road contests.
- The Frogs played without their leading scorer, junior guard Ronnie Moss, who suffered an injury during Thursday's loss at Tulsa. It marked only the second missed game of Moss' TCU career.
- TCU lost its first game this season to an in-state opponent. The Frogs will finish the regular season with a 4-1 mark against Texas foes.
- The Frogs suffered their first defeat this season in 10 games when shooting better than 42.0 percent from the field. The squad shot 48.9 percent Sunday.
- TCU also lost for the first time when outshooting the opponent, dropping to 9-1.
- Hank Thorns set a career high with 18 points, topping his previous best of 15 points recorded on Jan. 29, 2008 against Florida State as a freshman for Virginia Tech.
- Thorns also totaled eight assists, his fifth game with at least eight assists this season and his first since the Nov. 29 win over USC.
- Greg Hill scored 12 points for the second straight contest to match his season-high performance.
