Beeler and Gerrish Earn TCU Weekly Honors

FORT WORTH, Texas - Brooke Beeler and Paul Gerrish were selected as the TCU Student-Athletes of the Week for their recent efforts for the Horned Frogs.
Beeler posted TCU's top finish by tying for 13th at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational. Beeler, a native of Butler, Ill., helped lead the 22nd-ranked Horned Frogs to a fourth-place finish, their third consecutive top-five result and eighth straight top-10 finish over a 16-team field that included eight of the top-25 programs in the nation. The TCU sophomore shot a 73-75-76 for an 8-over-par 224 in high wind conditions for her second top-20 finish of the season.
Gerrish (1-1) tossed a season-high 5 2/3 innings against Texas State in his first start of the season. The Filer, Idaho product didn't allow a run, issued one walk and fanned two. Gerrish only allowed six hits on the night, leading the Frogs to a 4-0 win over the Bobcats.
