POSTGAME QUOTES
TCU 99, Chicago State 72
Fort Worth, Texas (Daniel-Meyer Coliseum)
Dec. 28, 2010
Attendance: 3,670
TCU Head Coach Jim Christian
On his team's high assist total:
"I thought the ball movement was great. Chicago State is one of those teams that plays about five different defenses. I thought that Sammy and Ronnie did a great job of recognizing the defense to get the ball moving to get us good shots."
On his team's recent practices:
"We had to give them time for Christmas, so we were limited on time to practice. I thought the last two days were the best two days of practice we have had in my time here at TCU."
On the play of senior guard Greg Hill:
"I thought Greg Hill gave us great minutes tonight. He was playing as hard as he has ever played. We need some other guys to play at that level and we will continue to get better."
On the play of freshman forward Amric Fields:
"Offense comes easy for Amric. It is the defense end of the floor where he has to get better. He is going to have to guard some good players coming up and he has not gotten that yet."
On junior guard J.R. Cadot:
"J.R. is one of those guys where you do not have to run any plays for him. He runs the floor and he gets offensive rebounds."
TCU junior guard J.R. Cadot
On the team's practices over the past week:
"We went really hard in practice the last couple of days preparing for tonight and the next two games on the road at Tulsa and Rice. We were able to come out and play a pretty good game overall."
On seeing his home shooting streak come to an end:
"After transferring here, I have made (Daniel-Meyer Coliseum) my new home. It feels bad to miss a few shots because I wanted to keep that streak going, but that is not how it works in basketball."
On the team's ball movement:
"The ball movement was really good, especially with Hank (Thorns) not being able to play tonight. It was nice to see us being able to keep up the ball movement with guys playing in different positions."
