Five Horned Frogs already had their degrees and were graduate students during the 2010 regular season: wide receiver Curtis Clay, defensive tackle Cory Grant, safety Alex Ibiloye, placekicker Kevin Sharples and wide receiver Jimmy Young.
For the third straight year, the TCU football program's high graduation rate was recognized by the American Football Coaches Association. TCU was cited by the AFCA for graduating at least 75 percent of its players who entered as freshmen in 2003. The AFCA utilizes the NCAA's Graduation Success Rate (GSR) formula.
The Horned Frogs are also one of just four programs to rank in the top 25 of the Associated Press poll and the top 25 of the Academic Progress Rate (APR).
Under head coach Gary Patterson, TCU has won at least 10 games seven times in the last nine seasons. Included in that total are six 11-win campaigns with back-to-back 12-0 regular seasons the last two years.
TCU is in the top 10 of the national rankings for the third straight season and fourth time in the last six years.
