Final: No. 3 TCU 66, New Mexico 17
Team Notes
*TCU clinched its second straight outright Mountain West Conference championship and third in six years. The Horned Frogs have at least a share in 16 conference titles in their history.
*TCU improved to 12-0 for its second straight undefeated regular season. It's just the third unbeaten and untied regular season in TCU history. The Horned Frogs' 1938 national championship squad was 10-0 in the regular season before a 15-7 win over Carnegie Tech in the Sugar Bowl.
*TCU has posted the third 12-win campaign in its history, joining last year's team and its 1935 national champions who were 12-1 after a 3-2 Sugar Bowl win over LSU.
*TCU's seniors earned their 43rd victory in the last four years, making them the winningest class in school history. It's the third consecutive season TCU will see its seniors graduate with a new win record for a class.
*The Horned Frogs are one of three remaining undefeated teams this season.
*TCU outscored its eight MWC opponents 342-75, allowing just nine offensive touchdowns and 9.4 points per game. MWC teams scored on 11-of-101 possessions.
*The Horned Frogs have a 25-game regular-season winning streak and have won 30 of their last 31 regular-season contests.
*TCU has won 26 of its last 27 overall games and is 38-3 in its last 41 contests.
*TCU's 11-game road winning streak is currently the longest in the nation and a Mountain West Conference record. The Frogs have won 13 of their last 14 road contests.
*TCU has won its last 17 Mountain West Conference games and 25 of its last 26.
*Since the start of the 2008 season, TCU's 35 wins (35-3) rank second nationally behind only Boise State (36-2).
*Sixteen of TCU's last 19 victories have been by at least 27 points. Seventeen of the 19 wins are by 17 points or more.
*The Horned Frogs improved to 9-1 in regular-season finales, including six straight wins, under head coach Gary Patterson.
*Over the last six seasons, TCU is 32-1 in day games and 58-4 in Saturday contests.
*TCU's 66 points are the most it has scored in a Mountain West Conference game. The previous Horned Frog best was 55 points in back-to-back 55-12 and 55-28 victories over Utah and San Diego State, respectively, last season.
*TCU's 66 points are a season-high and the most since a 67-7 win over Stephen F. Austin in 2008. The Horned Frogs' single-game school record is 68 points in a 68-0 win over Austin College in 1932.
*The Horned Frogs held an opponent under 200 yards in total offense for a nation's-best seventh time this season. New Mexico had 130 yards. It's the fewest yards by a TCU opponent since San Diego State was held to 85 yards in 2008.
*On its opening possession, TCU went 80 yards in four plays with the drive capped by a 14-yard touchdown pass from Andy Dalton to Antoine Hicks. It was the eighth time (seven touchdowns, one field goal) the Horned Frogs scored on their opening possession this season.
*TCU scored 24 points in the first quarter for its highest point total in a quarter since totaling 24 points in the second quarter versus Utah last season.
*TCU set single-season school records for touchdowns (70) and points scored (520). It's the third straight year the Horned Frogs have established a new mark in both categories.
*The Horned Frogs scored in every quarter against New Mexico and have scored in all but one quarter this season.
*TCU improved to 71-2 under Gary Patterson when allowing 17 points or less.
*The Horned Frogs were plus-1 in turnover margin and are now 54-1 when ahead (38-1) or even (16-0) in that category over the last six seasons.
*TCU rushed for 293 yards and has now won 51 in a row when totaling at least 167 yards on the ground. The Horned Frogs have also won 40 straight games when rushing for more yards than passing.
*Under Patterson, TCU is 54-2 with 200 or more yards rushing.
*TCU held a 31:08 to 28:52 edge in time of possession and is now 52-2 in its last 54 games when leading in that category.
Individual Notes
*Ed Wesley's 44-yard run on his first carry of the game, and TCU's second play from scrimmage, pushed him over 1,000 yards on the season. Wesley is the first Horned Frog to top 1,000 yards since Robert Merrill in 2003 (1,107 yards). Wesley finished the game with 11 carries for 77 yards and is now at 1,065 yards for the season.
*Andy Dalton had three first-quarter touchdown passes to give him 26 on the year, breaking Max Knake's TCU single-season record of 24 (1994).

*Young has moved into second place on TCU's career receiving yards list with 2,259. Mike Renfro tops the Horned Frogs with 2,739 yards (1974-77). Young climbed past Stephen Shipley (2,251, 1989-92) into second.
*James had his first career touchdown catch with his 38-yard first-quarter reception.

*Pachall's 8-yard third-quarter scoring run was his second rushing touchdown of the season.
