
Ruzgas Named Mountain West Conference Player of the Week

FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU senior Edvinas Ruzgas (Vilnius, Lithuania | Weatherford College) has been selected as the Mountain West Conference Player of the Week for his efforts this past week for the Horned Frogs.
The TCU senior scored a career-high 32 points on 11-of-13 shooting, including 7-of-9 shooting from behind the three-point line, in the Frogs' 89-62 victory over St. Gregory's. In addition, Ruzgas connected on the fifth-most three-point field goals in TCU single-game history.
Ruzgas connected on a career-high 11 field goals in the game, which ties the most by a conference player this season, and his 84.6 shooting percentage is the highest single-game total for a guard (with 10 or more attempts) and second-best overall percentage in the Mountain West Conference this season.
This season, the 6-6 guard is ranked 21st among all NCAA Division I players in three-point field goal percentage (.477 | 31-of-65) and 30th in field goal percentage (.587 | 61-of-104). Ruzgas is also ranked 42nd in the country in three-point field goals made per game (2.8 3FGM-G) and 189th in scoring average (15.5 P-G).
Ruzgas and the Frogs will be back in action on Wednesday evening at the Hofheinz Pavilion in Houston for a showdown with Conference USA-foe University of Houston. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
