H2O Frogs Wrap Up Fall Slate In Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY - The TCU men's and women's swimming teams concluded the fall schedule Sunday at the 18th Annual Chesapeake Elite Pro-Am on the campus of Oklahoma City Community College.
Junior Jeff Gettel and sophomore Friedrich Grott registered the top individual performances for the Horned Frogs Sunday. Gettel claimed fourth place honors in the 200-back after hitting the wall at 1:50.79, while Grott took fourth in the 200-fly with a finals time of 1:53.40. Junior Dan Bodin followed in the 200-fly for sixth place with a time of 1:55.15.
Bagby led all TCU swimmers in the 100-free, placing sixth after turning in a time of 45.80. The Houston, Texas native edged out former Frog standout Jonathan Berrettini, who claimed 8th place honors with a time of 47.87. Peyro also snared sixth place recognition after timing in at 22.55 in the 50-fly.
In the 1650-free (mile), Trevor Woods and Ross Van Allen took seventh and eighth place honors, while Maria Paula Alvarez took ninth place accolades. Senior Stephanie Futscher led the women in the 200-fly, clocking in at 2:09.10 in the finals to finish in 8th place.
TCU will enjoy a 17-day layoff before traveling to the Beehive State for Mountain West Conference dual meets at Utah and BYU on Jan. 6 and 8, respectively.
