Hatcher receives two NCAA appointments

FORT WORTH, Texas -- TCU faculty athletics representative Rhonda Hatcher has received two recent appointments to NCAA committees.Hatcher was approved by the NCAA Board of Directors as a member of the Academic Cabinet for the new Division I Governance.
An associate professor of mathematics, Hatcher is in her ninth year as the Horned Frogs' FAR. She will also work with the new Football Academic Working Group, formed to develop recommendations and possible legislative changes for improving the academic performance of football student-athletes.
The group is expected to have an in-person meeting this summer. Future meetings will be held as necessary. The Board of Directors will review a final report of the group in April 2009.
