
TCU honors athletes of the week

FORT WORTH, Texas- Franklin Corpening, a senior golfer from Fort Worth, Texas, earned the honor of men's athlete of the week after his performance at the National Invitational Tournament. Corpening entered the final day of action tied for the tournament lead. He finished the National Invitational Tournament with a fourth-place showing after notching a three-round six-under-par tally of 210 (69-68-73).
On the woman's side, Adrianne Ross, a senior from Hobbs, N.M., garnered athlete of the week honors. Against Texas Tech and Colorado, Ross averaged 24.5 points per game, six rpg, and four apg. Ross shot a blistering 50% from the field, in addition to 89% from the free-throw line against Texas Tech and Colorado.
The road warrior of the week is Tyler Lockwood of the baseball team. In his outing against UNLV, Lockwood surrendered two runs (one earned) on eight hits. He struck out seven and didn't walk any batters to improve to 2-0 on the season.
