TCU drops final match of fall season

FORT WORTH, Texas-In a close match, the Horned Frogs recorded their second loss of the season against the Kentucky Wildcats today at the TCU Rifle Range. The Wildcats edged TCU by a final aggregate score of 4647-4636. Junior, Erin Lorenzen led the Frogs in both smallbore and air rifle.
In a hotly contested smallbore round, Erin Lorenzen fired off a team high score of 578. Kentucky countered with two shooters turning in scores of 580. Freshman Mattie Brogdon shot a 575 landing her in fourth overall in the discipline. Simone Riford followed with a 574 while senior, Tanya Gorin turned in a 570.
In air rifle, Lorenzen continued her strong season with a score of 588, which was good enough for fourth place. Brogdon followed closely with a score of 586. Simone Riford and Lauren Sullivan chipped in with scores of 583 and 582, respectively.
The Frogs won't return to action until Jan. 17 when they travel to Colorado Springs to face the Air Force Academy.
