FORT WORTH, Texas - With about a month of the season completed and TCU heading for it's first Mountain West Conference road trip, GoFrogs.com recently sat down with senior Katie Rosen to get her thoughts on the Horned Frogs in 2008.
How does the team feel going on the road to Air Force and Wyoming?
"I think everyone is really excited. It's our first time to really see some tough competition on the road. It's going to be hard having two meets in three days, with one on Thursday and another one on Saturday, but we will see how the team handles that. We should see some good swimming. I think we will do well against Air Force and Wyoming should be a good meet."
How are the Frogs' spirits after the first couple of conference meets?
"For the guys, the BYU meet was awesome. It came down to the final event and I think that really showed what we can do this year. It was also great to top Colorado State last week, because they were undefeated. Our teams are really doing well early in the year."
What has been the biggest surprise this season?
"We are so far ahead of where we were last year. Our times, the training and our attitudes we have as we approach meets have been really good. We did a lot of team-building activities early in the year and we have also spent a lot of time together away from the pool. We have a good mesh of older swimmers and newcomers."
TCU has already broken two school records this fall, does that motivate you?
"Of course it does. We have all turned in good times to start the year and I think it's a good sign for things to come in February and it should prepare us for the Mountain West Conference meet."
