FORT WORTH, Texas -- The TCU Athletics Department is working with ISP, its marketing rights holder, regarding the inquiry by New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo and issued the following statement:
TCU's Athletics Department utilizes a national sports marketing company called International Sports Properties (ISP) to contract with various vendors seeking advertising opportunities.
The revenue that athletics receives is from that overall contractual agreement.
ISP set up a national contract with a student loan vendor, University Financial Services (UFS), and marketed that program to alumni, fans and students. The athletics department received no revenue directly from this vendor.
TCU has directed ISP to suspend any activity with UFS and any other student loan vendor.
