FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU swimming and diving team will host BYU at the University Recreation Center at noon on Saturday. The men will begin the Mountain West Conference season against the No. 24 Cougars.
The TCU women (4-1, 0-1) opened conference play Thursday night, as they fell in a hard fought match to Colorado State 156-144. Highlighting the meet were Erica Tate, Maribeth Pottenger and Jennifer Ferguson, who were all double-event winners.
Last season, TCU took the win against the BYU women 134-109 in Provo, Utah. It was the women's first-ever victory against the Cougars.
On the men's side, the Frogs (2-0, 0-0) will return to action for the first time since they met McMurry and UTPB on Oct. 5. Last season, the men fell to the No. 20 Cougars 151-90.
The BYU swimming and diving team will begin their season Friday night at SMU, before heading to Fort Worth on Saturday.
