Horned Frogs Make a Splash in the Classroom

FORT WORTH, Texas -- The TCU women's swimming & diving team was selected as an Academic All-American squad by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America for the spring 2005 semester. It was the 24th consecutive semester the women's team received the honor.
The award is presented to a team that maintains an overall GPA of 2.8 (on a 4.0 scale) or better for the semester. As a team, the Horned Frogs accumulated an average of 3.10.
"We are thrilled to receive this honor," stated head coach Richard Sybesma. "We are really proud to have good athletes and good swimmers."
TCU opens the 2005-06 season on Thursday, Oct. 20, against Colorado State in Fort Collins, Colo. The meet marks the first in the Mountain West for the Frogs and is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. CDT.
