
Kangogo and Blackerby named TCU Student-Athletes of the Week

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Men's cross country runner Kip Kangogo and women's golfer Camille Blackerby have been named the TCU Male and Female Student-Athletes of the Week for Oct. 17.Kangogo, a senior from Kabarnet, Kenya, was second out of 217 runners at Saturday's Pre-Nationals Invitational in Terre Haute, Ind. He had a 23:40 time in the 8,000-meter race.
Blackerby placed second, just one stroke off the pace, at this past weekend's Lady Paladin Invitational in Greenville, S.C. A junior from Breckenridge, Texas, Blackerby carded a final round 1-under-par 71 to lead the 48th-ranked Frogs to a third-place finish.
Blackerby's 71 tied for the low score on the day as she posted a 54-hole total of 219 (+3).
