
Frogs Compete In Day Two of UT-Invite

Austin, Texas - The TCU swimming and diving competed in the second day of the UT-Invite today in Austin, Texas. Both the men and women's teams currently stand in eighth place after two days of competition. The men have 104 points, while the women have tallied 114 points.
On the women's side, the Frogs highest finish of the day came in the 400-yard medley where the relay consisting of Aimee Moreau, Leann Cathcart, Tiffany Strawn and Erica Tate finished in 7th place in 1:45.81.
Individually, in the 400-IM, sophomore Christi Cannon finished in 15th place with a time of 4:30.10. Earlier in the day in the preliminaries, Cannon swam a season-best time of 4:28.73 to qualify for the finals. Cannon also finished 20th in the 100-breast with a time of 1:07.16.
For the men, senior Craig Chapman had a strong day as he finished 11th place in the 100-backstroke with a time of 49.86 seconds. Junior Kelly McCain had a score of 502.65 points in the 3-meter (11 dives) to come away with a fifth place finish.
The Frogs will close out the invitational on Saturday with preliminaries beginning at 10 a.m. followed by the finals at 6 p.m.
