
TCU Comes Up Short Against South Florida

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Reggie Kohn scored a season-high 21 points and had five assists to lead South Florida past TCU 71-67 on Tuesday night.
Jimmy Baxter added 12 points and Will McDonald had nine points and 11 rebounds for South Florida (11-8, 4-4 Conference USA), which improved to 10-1 at the Sun Dome.
Bingo Merriex and Junior Blount scored 16 and 14, respectively, to lead TCU (7-13, 1-7). Corey Santee had 11 points and Nucleus Smith added 10 points for the Horned Frogs, who have lost eight of their last nine games.
TCU led 31-30 at halftime after eight lead changes and six ties.
Kohn scored 10 points in the first six minutes of the second half to lead the Bulls on a 16-3 run.
The Horned Frogs responded with 10 of the next 12 points, cutting the deficit to 48-46. They never drew closer en route to their eighth consecutive road loss.
Kohn, who also had three steals, hadn't scored more than 20 points in a game since his career-best 30 at TCU last February.
