TCU Rifle to Host NCAA Sectionals

FORT WORTH, Texas (Feb. 17) -- The TCU women's rifle team will host the 2000 NCAA Sectionals at the TCU Rifle Range beginning Friday, Feb. 18 and continuing through Saturday, Feb. 19.

TCU hosts teams from Centenary, Missouri-Kansas City, and Texas A&M. The Frogs are set to shoot on Friday beginning at 4 p.m. The rest of the competition will take place on Saturday with the rest of the field beginning at 8 a.m.

This competition serves as the qualification for the NCAA Championships, which will be held March 9-12 in Lexington, Va. Teams from around the nation are competing in these NCAA Sectional competitions. Each team's score will be ranked against the others competing nationally and the top 10 team scores in air rifle and the top 10 team scores in smallbore will advance to the NCAA Championships. Additionally, 10 individuals will qualify in both air rifle and smallbore to compete at the championship event.
