Julie Austin arrived at TCU in July 2009 and currently serves as Sr. Associate Athletics Director, Marketing, Branding & Licensing.
After being hired as assistant director of marketing, Austin was promoted to assistant athletics director in 2017 and then associate athletics director for marketing and licensing in 2018. She serves on the executive team for TCU Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Jeremiah Donati.
Austin focuses on revenue generation, brand elevation and enhancement of fan engagement. She collaborates with Learfield on creating new multi-media rights opportunities for sponsors and strategizing ticket sales campaigns with Learfield Amplify. Additionally, she manages partnerships with third party vendors SIDEARM, Learfield, Sodexo, Fanatics and Follett as well as working with various university departments and student groups in event planning.
Before TCU, Austin worked in marketing capacities at the University of Pennsylvania (2007-09), Wichita State (2005-07) and Marquette (2004-05).
A 2004 graduate of Kansas with a degree in communications, Austin earned a master's degree in sport administration from Wichita State in 2007.
Austin and her husband, Dontrell, have a daughter, Ava.
