China Perkins begins her fourth season as a member of the Horned Frog staff and first as the Director of Operations for TCU Volleyball in 2024.
Perkins has been on TCU's volleyball staff for the past three seasons. She served as the Player Development Coach during the 2023 season, primarily worked with the hitters and also assisted in training all other position groups, and was TCU's graduate assistant from 2021-23.
A TCU alum, Perkins was a member of the volleyball team as a middle blocker from 2013-17 with her sister Chyanne. In her four years in a Horned Frog uniform, she appeared in 11 matches, totaling nine kills, 12 digs and three blocks.
Perkins attended Marymount High School in Los Angeles, California, where she helped lead her team to the CIF Division 1A volleyball title in 2010 and 2011. She also claimed the 2012 Division 1AA volleyball championship with her team, on her way to wining the 2012 CIF Division 1 State Championship. A three-time league champion, Perkins was named Most Inspirational on her volleyball team. In addition to volleyball, she also participated in basketball where she won a league title and was also a Sunshine League Honorable Mention.
Perkins’ father Sam played basketball at UNC from 1980-84, won a gold medal at the 1984 Olympics and played in the NBA from 1984-2001.
