She also excelled in the classroom, wracking up several awards, including second-team academic all-conference and honorable mention Academic All-America accolades ... She posted wins over SMU, South Carolina, New Mexico State (MOP) and Baylor (MOP), earning her second-straight MOP in October ... She closed out the season, seeing action at the 2016 Big 12 Championship against Oklahoma State and K-State.
2014-15
Montemuro came on late in the season, recording a 3-0 record in Reining, including a 2-0 mark in postseason play ... She opened the season downing Centenary's Jessica Morehouse before opening the 2015 Big 12 Championship, defeating Baylor's Parris Rice, 138-136 ... Montemuro scored the final point for TCU in the Horned Frogs' third-place meet against K-State, upending Ebba Lange, 136-131.5.

Prep Career
Montemuro, who hails from Mastic Beach, N.Y., graduated from William Floyd High School after showing and riding for 13 years ... She has finished in the top 10 at Congress five times, including twice during the 2012-13 campaign ... Montemuro will don the Purple and White after competing at multiple AQHA Youth World Championship Shows.
