Career and Professional Development programs are led by highly qualified professionals. The overall goal of this area is to ensure each of our student-athletes are prepared for life after college, connected to the greater TCU alumni network, and are competitive upon entering the workforce. Programs are designed to help student-athletes explore career opportunities, learn about their interest, improve skill set, and make informed decisions about their next steps.
Girls Night Out
This event allows our female student-athletes to mingle and network with experienced and inspiring women leaders in different industries. Our goal is to ensure our female student-athletes leave TCU with a wealth of people to support their transition to the next phase of life and continue a path as ethical leaders and global citizens.




Players 2 Professional Networking Event
Players 2 Professionals is an initiative designed to assist TCU student-athletes with navigating the complexities of the professional world. This event serves as a necessary platform for individuals to enhance their networking skills, build valuable connections, and embark on successful careers beyond their athletic endeavors.
Attendees will have the opportunity to network with several local and national businesses. These purposeful interactions serve as a bridge between the talent pool of TCU student-athletes and prospective employers creating a win-win situation. Businesses can tap into a pool of motivated and disciplined candidates, while student-athletes will build invaluable relationships and gain exposure to potential career and internship opportunities.
Players 2 Professional Alumni
Players 2 Professionals is an initiative designed to assist former TCU student-athletes with navigating the complexities of the professional world. This program serves as a necessary platform for individuals to enhance their skills, build valuable connections, and embark on successful careers beyond their athletic endeavors.
The focal point of Players 2 Professionals lies in its comprehensive workshops, covering a spectrum of essential topics such as Networking, Branding, Investing, Resume Writing, Job Preparation, and the nuances of starting a business.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with local and national businesses. These interactions serve as a bridge between the talent pool of former TCU student-athletes and prospective employers creating a win-win situation. Businesses can tap into a pool of motivated and disciplined candidates, while former student-athletes will gain exposure to potential career opportunities.

Nike Internship Highlight

Nike, Inc. is inclusive of all three main brands: Nike, Jordan, and Converse. TCU Athletics partners with Nike, Inc. every four years to provide one TCU student-athlete (sophomore or junior) a summer internship opportunity within all three brands across multiple functions. Nike, Inc. Promises to provide a premium, inclusive, compelling and authentic candidate experience.
Requirements
2 Sessions per academic year1 meeting with a Career Consultant (3rd year and beyond)
Completed Resume (3rd year and beyond)
Attendance at a networking event or career fair
Completed handshake and LinkedIn profiles
