Honorary TCU Football Captain Opportunity Available To Horned Frog Fans Through Friday

CARLSBAD, Calif. - TCU fans have until Friday to bid on several unique items and experiences as part of the school's ongoing auction at http://www.gofrogs.com/ebay.
This week fans can bid to be the Honorary TCU Football Captain for the Cincinnati game on November 15. The winner will meet at midfield for the coin toss, operate the Frog Horn as the team takes the field, and then watch the game from the Rosa's Cafe Couch on the field along with three guests of choice.
In addition, fans can bid this week on a Chargers ball autographed by former TCU star LaDainian Tomlinson.
Proceeds from the auction help support the TCU athletic department. The auction is part of a nationwide program with eBay Sports and OCSN, which partners with TCU and 144 university athletic departments and conferences to manage and maintain Official Athletic Sites.
During the season, college football fans who show team spirit by buying licensed merchandise and memorabilia will make their dollars go the distance. From September through December, eBay Sports will track the amount of money collectively spent per team and release weekly top 25 standings. When the contest ends in January 2004, eBay will give the school that generates the most in sales a $25,000 donation to be used toward a scholarship-scoring a major victory for education.
