Mazzoli Captures First PGA TOUR Win

2019 graduate earns TOUR card
FORT WORTH – TCU graduate Stefano Mazzoli won the Corales Puntacana Championship on Sunday for his first PGA TOUR victory.
The two-time All-American began the final round in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic four strokes behind Todd Clements. Mazzoli shot 6-under 66 to win by one stroke with an overall score of 20-under 268. His final shot to win was a 24-foot birdie putt on the par-4 18th hole.
The Italian was one of 50 DP World Tour players in the co-sanctioned event played opposite the British Open. With the win, Mazzoli earned a PGA TOUR card through 2027.
Mazzoli, who graduated in 2019 with a degree in communication studies, was a two-time All-Big 12 and PING All-Central Region honoree. As a senior, Mazzoli was co-champion of the NCAA Austin Regional and his winning score at the Tiger Invitational of 17-under 199 stands as the third best at TCU.
He was also a Jack Nicklaus Award semifinalist in 2018 and a member of the Arnold Palmer Cup team in 2018. Mazzoli's career vs. par of 0.91 ranks as the seventh best in TCU history.
Mazzoli became the first Horned Frog to win a PGA TOUR event since Tom Hoge won the 2022 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
