218th Horned Frog to be drafted into the NFL and the 14th since 2023
PITTSBURGH – With the final selection in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks chose TCU standout Bud Clark on Friday night outside of Acrisure Stadium.
Clark becomes the 218th Horned Frog to be drafted into the NFL dating back to 1936, and he is the 14th NFL Draft pick out of TCU since 2023.
This is the second straight year TCU has seen a player taken in the second round, following Jack Bech who was taken 58th overall last year by the Las Vegas Raiders.
In addition, Clark is the fourth Horned Frog ever picked by the Seahawks, with the most recent being L.J. Collier in the first round during the 2019 draft.
The second-round selection comes after a remarkable career for Clark in the Purple and White.
A leader in the locker room, the Alexandria, Louisiana, native was a captain for three seasons. He also was a 2024 Second-Team All-Big 12 selection, and earned a spot in 2022 on the Honorable Mention All-Big 12 Team.
For his career, he accumulated 214 tackles and had 15 interceptions, with two being returned for touchdowns.
His career was highlighted by a 67-tackle season in 2024, and a five-interception season in 2022 to help lift TCU to the CFP National Title game.
The NFL Draft continues tomorrow at 11 a.m. CT, as more Horned Frogs hope to hear their names called in the fourth through seventh round.
