Fifth-Ranked Frogs Take Two to Close out Canyon Classic

TCU defeats Arizona and UC Davis
PHOENIX – On the final day of the Canyon Classic, the fifth-ranked TCU beach volleyball team took down Arizona and UC Davis at GCU Beach Volleyball Stadium on Saturday.
TCU (3-1) opened the day by taking down Big 12-foe Arizona, before sweeping UC Davis.
MATCH ONE - No. 5 TCU 4, Arizona 1
TCU opened the day with a bang, taking four wins, including three sweeps, to post a 4-1 win over their Big 12 foe Arizona (2-1).
Opening things up at No. 4, Marcela Mattoso and Anna Long made quick work to earn TCU a 1-0 lead. Stacy Reeves and Anhelina Khmil fell at No. 2 to make the score 1-1 as the next three courts began.
After the loss, TCU was able to really pick up the momentum, with Hannah Taylor and Melina Mol claiming a win to get the Frogs one point away from the victory.
Morgan Williams and Deniela Konstantinova clinched it for the Frogs on court five in a three-set thriller. On the final court, Natalie Glenn and Sofia Izuzquiza were able to close the match out with a two-set victory.

The Horned Frogs claimed their first sweep of the season during the weekend capper against UC Davis (0-3) immediately following the Arizona victory.
The match opened up on No. 4 just like earlier in the day, with Marcela Mattoso and Anna Long cruising to a sweep victory. Anhelina Khmil and Stacy Reeves weren't far behind, also claiming a sweep to make it 2-0 Frogs early.
As it moved to the last three courts, Elea Beutel and Adriana Serrano Ferro joined the club of Frog sweeps, making quick work at No. 3.
Not far behind was Olivia Clines and Sanna Madestam who made it four sweeps for the Frogs during the match.
To close it out, Sofia Izuzquiza and Natalie Glenn were in a battle at No.1, but prevailed in three sets to close out TCU's first sweep of 2026.
