Tabbed AP, USBWA National Player of the Week; named Big 12 Player of the Week for fourth time
FORT WORTH – After delivering arguably the greatest Big 12 single-game offensive performance, and leading TCU to consecutive top-20 wins, Olivia Miles acquired a queen's ransom of awards for week 15 of the college basketball season.
Miles was named The Associated Press national player of the week for the first time in her career. She was jointly honored as the Ann Meyers-Drysdale National Player of the Week by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association.
Additionally, Miles was crowned Big 12 Player of the Week for a league-leading fourth instance in 2025-26. She is the first repeat winner this season, having received the recognition on Feb. 9.
The New Jersey native delivered a historic 40-point performance in TCU's 83-67 win over then-No. 12 Baylor on Thursday in Waco. Miles averaged 26 points, 6.5 rebounds, five assists and 2.5 steals per game for the week of Feb. 9-15. She steered the ship in the Horned Frogs' 59-50 home victory against West Virginia three days later, finishing with 12 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.
Miles is the first player in program history to win Big 12 Player of the Week four times in a single season. She is one of three Horned Frogs alongside fellow All-American Sedona Prince and all-time leading scorer Lauren Heard to garner the accolade at least four times.
Numerous, program, Big 12 and national records fell during Miles' 40-point clinic vs. Baylor.
Miles' 40 points were the most by any player in any game vs. a ranked team this season. She broke TCU's Big 12 single-game records for points, 3-pointers (10) and field goals (13).
She finished 10-20 from distance, tying the NCAA single-game record for 3-pointers vs. a ranked team on the road. Miles also became one of only two players to connect at least 10 times from distance vs. an AP Top 25 foe in any game. The 5-10 guard scored 23 points and knocked down seven 3-pointers in the third quarter alone. Her seven deep balls were the most ever by a Big 12 player in a single quarter.
Miles' efforts vs. the Mountaineers were impressive in their own regard. She ran point against a West Virginia defense that forces 24 turnovers per game on average. Behind Miles, TCU gave the ball away just 10 times, the fewest committed by any team opposite West Virginia. The Horned Frogs finished with a 1.5 assist-to-turnover ratio, a feat only four teams have achieved thus far in 2025-26 vs. the Mountaineers.
No. 12 TCU (23-4, 11-3 Big 12) and Miles return to the court at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Houston.
