Frogs to compete at 97th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays
AUSTIN – TCU track and field continues its outdoor season, competing March 27-29 at the 97th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays.
Last weekend, the Horned Frogs kicked off the outdoor season at home, racing on the brand-new track surface at the Lowden Track and Field Complex. TCU picked up 15 event wins at the annual Alumni Invitational, highlighted by freshman London Tucker, who won the women's 100m dash and 4x100m relay to earn Big 12 Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors.
TCU's women have 10 top 25 marks nationally so far this outdoor season. Tucker ranks second in the country with an 11.19 time in the 100m dash, Amelliah Birdow boasts the No. 5 400 hurdles mark (58.00), Amari Kiluvia ranks sixth in the 100m hurdles (13.30) and both of the women's relays rank inside the top 10.
The men own five top 25 marks in the NCAA, led by freshman javelin thrower Preston Kuznof. Last weekend, the rookie made the most of his first collegiate throw, breaking the TCU school record and winning the event. He ranks second in the nation with a mark of 75.10m.
Each of the last two seasons competing in Austin at the Texas Relays, a Horned Frog has stood atop the podium as an event winner. In 2023, Sydney Juszczyk won the B section of the women's javelin throw, and last year, the women won the 4x800m relay title.
