Frogs earn eighth ranked win of the season
POMPANO BEACH, Fla. - The No. 3 ranked TCU beach volleyball team went 2-0 on its first day at the FAU Beach Invitational in Pompano Beach, Fla. on Saturday morning.
TCU earned its eighth ranked win of the season as the Horned Frogs took down No. 15 Stetson, 4-1. In its second match of the day the Frogs made quick work of Tampa, winning 5-0.
TCU is now 9-3 on the year and has won seven matches in a row.
Quick Hits Against No. 15 Stetson
• Olivia Clines and Ana Vergara notched the first point for the Frogs winning at the five spot, 21-7, 21-11.
• The point over the Hatters was Clines' 12th ranked win of her career and Vergara's 47th.
• Anhelina Khmil and Anete Namike were the next pair to finish as they put the Frogs up 2-0 with their win on four, 16-21, 24-22, 15-13.
• At the three spot, Allanis Navas and Sofia Izuzquiza clinched the match as the pair won, 21-14, 22-20.
• Hailey Hamlett and Maria Gonzalez fell at the No. 2 spot, 21-8, 20-22, 17-19.
• Daniela Alvarez and Tania Moreno earned the win at the No. 1 spot, 21-13, 21-6
• No. 15 Stetson was TCU's eighth ranked win of the year.
• TCU improved to 7-2 all-time against Stetson.

• Deniela Konstantinova and Namike put the Frogs on the board with their 21-12, 21-14 win on the No. 5 spot.
• Alvarez and Moreno were the second pair to finish as they won 21-17, 21-12 at the No. 1 spot.
• Navas and Izuzquiza earned the win at the No. 3 spot winning, 21-13, 21-15.
• Stacy Reeves and Gonzalez got the win on the No. 2 spot as they won, 21-13, 21-15.
• Vergara and Khmil won 21-13, 21-16 at the No. 4 spot.
• TCU improved to 3-0 over Tampa all-time.
