Zaun finishes third individually in smallbore
FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 5 TCU women's rifle team sits third after shooting a 2,345 score in smallbore on Day 1 of the Patriot Rifle Conference (PRC) Championships. Katie Zaun qualified for the individual finals and took home bronze.
Alaska Fairbanks leads the team standings with a 2,367, followed by Ole Miss with a 2,364. TCU sits third, with Air Force just behind at 2,337. Nebraska (2,330), Ohio State (2,328), and UTEP (2,307) round out the standings.
Zaun led the Horned Frogs with a 592, securing a spot in the individual final. She finished third with a score of 453.2. Also contributing to the team score was Mikole Hogan (587), followed closely by Rylie Passmore with a 586. Also serving as counters were Christina Hillinger (580) and Marissa Fedora (576).
Not factoring in the team score were Micah Hames, who fired a 585 and Ziva Swick who shot a 583.
The PRC Championships conclude Sunday with air rifle. The first relay is scheduled to begin at 6:15 a.m. CT.
