FORT WORTH – With 10 days to go before the start of the 2025-26 season, Olivia Miles has added to her preseason hardware.
Miles was one of 20 players selected to the 2025-26 Nancy Lieberman Point Guard of the Year Preseason Top 20 Watch List.
The honor marks the fourth consecutive season Miles has been tabbed to the preseason watch list. Miles was a top-five finalist for accolade in 2024-25 and was one of 10 players named to the 2022-23 midseason watch list.
Now in its 27th season, the Lieberman Award is voted on and presented annually by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).
Miles is the fourth TCU player to receive Lieberman Award consideration alongside All-Americans Hailey Van Lith (2025), Helena Sverisdottir (2010) and Adrianne Ross (2007, 2008). Van Lith was a top-10 finalist for the award last season.
The 5-10 guard was one of four Big 12 players chosen to the watch list, joining Jordan Harrison (West Virginia), S'Mya Nichols (Kansas) and Jada Williams (Iowa State).
Miles is the most accomplished point guard on the watch list. She averaged 14.2 points, 6.5 assists and six rebounds per game while maintaining a career 2-1 assist-to-turnover ratio across four seasons on the court at Notre Dame from 2021-25. Miles enters the 2025-26 season as the active D1 leader in career assists per game average (6.5), career assists (654) and triple doubles (six). She is also the nation's lone player with at least 1,400 career points, 600 assists and 600 rebounds. Miles leads all guards in double-doubles (25) and 15-5-5 games (24).
A product of Phillipsburg, N.J., Miles is a three-time All-American, earning second team honors in 2023 and 2025. She was one of 15 players chosen to the Wooden Award national ballot and was a semifinalist for the Naismith Award last season.
Miles was named Big 12 Preseason Big 12 Newcomer of the Year and was a unanimous selection to the Preseason All-Big 12 team on Oct. 9.
Fans are encouraged to participate in fan voting on hoophallawards.com, beginning Friday, Oct. 31. The fan vote counts as one committee vote during the finalist selection process. In late January, the watch list will be narrowed to 10, followed by a final five in late February. The five finalists will be presented to Lieberman and the Basketball Hall of Fame selection committee to determine a winner.
