Horned Frogs wrap up season at NCAA South Central Regional
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – TCU cross country wrapped up its season at the 2024 NCAA South Central Regional with senior Graydon Morris earning all-region honors and the highest finish since 1998 on the men's side.
Racing at the 10k distance, the Horned Frog men earned a sixth-place finish overall in the field of 32 with 238 total points. It capped off a magical season for the men, who won four team titles and its best result ever at the Big 12 Championship meet. They finished behind Arkansas (33), Tulane (76), Texas (84), Texas A&M (127) and Incarnate Word (163). On the women's side, TCU finished 18th as a team.
The standout performance on the day came from Morris, who finished inside the top 25 to earn all-region honors with a time of 30:12.0, holding a 4:51 mile pace. TCU's next four runners all posted sub-32-minute races. Johnson Lagat and Hector Solis both notched strong finishes grabbing 50th and 51st respectively in the field of nearly 200 athletes. Seniors Stone Burke and Noah Winters capped off their cross country careers with personal best times.
Tabitha Ngao led the women like she has in every race this season. The sophomore crossed the finish line 44th with a time of 20:47.8. Junior Gabby Martin and freshman Ava Santora followed with times of 21:51.4 and 21:57.8, respectively. Emmy Stoll and Peyten Woodruff rounded out the women's squad which averaged a 21:50 pace.
