Frogs produce top six aggregate marks
WEST POINT, N.Y. – After nearly a month hiatus, the TCU women's rifle returned to action against Georgia Southern at the Army Rifle Range. Despite falling to the Eagles by a 4,745-4,737 score, the Horned Frogs produced their best marks in smallbore (2,352), air rifle (2,385) and aggregate this season.
All six of TCU's shooters in the match ranked in the top 10. Katie Zaun led all shooters with an aggregate of 1,191. She fired a match-high 96 center shots. Mikole Hogan finished third with a season-high 1,187. Christina Hillinger matched her career high with a 1,180. Marissa Fedora (1,178) and Rylie Passmore (1,175) each fired a career-high. Anne White, in her first action of the season, rounded out the top 10 with a 1,171.
In smallbore, TCU placed all six shooters in the top 10. Zaun tied for the best mark with a 592, but finished with 40 center shots to take the top spot. Hogan fired a season-high 591 to sit third. TCU occupied the last four in the top 10 led by a career-high mark of 585 for Fedora. Hillinger shot a 584 followed by a 581 from Passmore and a 577 from White.
All six shooters for TCU fired a 593 or better in air rifle. Again, Zaun tied the disciplines top mark, matching her career-high with a 599. She took the top spot with 56 center shots. Hillinger tied her career-high with a 596. Hogan also contributed a 596. Passmore shot a career-high 594, matched by White. Fedora rounded out the Frog shooters with a career-high 593.
TCU will wrap up its three match road swing to open the season Oct. 26 at UTEP.
