TCU sits fourth nationally in aggregate average
FORT WORTH – The No. 4 ranked TCU Horned Frogs will wrap up its season-opening three match road swing Saturday at UTEP.
Traveling for the match will be Marissa Fedora, Christina Hillinger, Mikole Hogan, Rylie Passmore, Ziva Swick, Anne White and Katie Zaun.
The Horned Frogs enter the weekend with the fourth-best aggregate average at 4,726.50. TCU sits third in smallbore average (2,348.00) and sixth in air rifle average (2,378.50).
In TCU's last outing against Georgia Southern, a trio of freshmen, Hillinger, Fedora and Passmore, each set career high aggregate marks. Thre trio ranks in the top 50 in season aggregate average. Hillinger sits 19th nationally with her 596 season air rifle average.
Zaun has come out of the gates strong, leading the nation with a 1,189 aggregate average and a 592 smallbore average. She is tied for eighth nationally with a 597 air rifle average.
Hogan has enjoyed a strong start to her season as well, ranking in the top 20 in smallbore (588.00) and aggregate average (1,181.50). She also boasts a 593.50 air rifle average.
White made her season debut against Georgia Southern, posting a Top 10 finish in the match with a 1,171 aggregate score.
UTEP enters the weekend ranked No. 18. The Miners boast a season average of 4,640 (smallbore, 2,293.50; air rifle, 2,346.50). They are led by Carlee Valenta's 1,162.0 aggregate average (570.5 smallbore, 591.5 air rifle).
Action is slated to begin at 9:30 (CT).
