Coral and Gimena Named All-Americans

Two Horned Frogs honored by the Collegiate Triathlon Coaches Association.
FORT WORTH – Maria Coral and Sara Gimena have been named All-Americans by the Collegiate Triathlon Coaches Association. Coral received Second-Team honors while Gimena collected Honorable Mention honors.
Coral finished the season strong, placing 12th at Nationals and first for the Horned Frogs with her time of 1:05:10.90.
Coral has been pivotal all season for TCU, placing first at the DeGray Lake Triathlon with a time of 1:04:14.30. Coral's time at the DeGray Lake Triathlon ranks first among all TCU times this season.
She added another top 10 finish to her name as she placed sixth at the Battle in the Fort Triathlon with a time of 1:09.06. Over four events, Coral has never placed outside the top 20 on the leaderboard.
Gimena added another top 20 finish to her name, placing 15th at Nationals with a time of 1:05:24.50 to garner Honorable Mention All-American honors.
She has been a consistent force for the Horned Frogs, recording three top 10 finishes and one top 15 finish over four events. Gimena recorded her best time of the year at the DeGray Lake Triathlon, posting a time of 1:04:43.50 and finishing second. She led the Horned Frogs at the USAT West Regionals, placing ninth with her time of 1:04:55.66.
