The Horned Frogs come up short in first-ever NCAA Tournament Appearance
GULF SHORES, Ala. – No. 8 TCU Beach Volleyball (26-10) ended the greatest season in program history on Friday when they fell to No. 1 seed UCLA (3-0) and No. 4 seed LSU (3-1) in the NCAA Beach Volleyball Championships in Gulf Shores, Ala.
TCU ends the 2021 season with the most wins in program history (26), the most wins over ranked opponents (nine), the winningest season for an individual pairing (Olivia Blackburn and Hailey Brockett – 28) and the first All-Conference award recipients (Daniela Alvarez and Tania Moreno Mateeva).
Blackburn and Brockett became the first Horned Frog pairing to win a match at the NCAA Championships when they defeated LSU at No. 2, 21-18, 21-14.
TCU completes the season with an overall match record of 113-62 the most wins and the highest winning percentage in program history.
