TCU comes up short on the road for the first time this season
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The TCU football team dropped a 24-6 decision at West Virginia Saturday afternoon in Morgantown, W.Va.
Playing its first game this season outside the state of Texas, TCU fell on the road for the first time in 2020. The Horned Frogs had previous road wins at Texas and Baylor.
Facing the Big 12's top defense in West Virginia, TCU's scoring was limited to a pair of Griffin Kell 32-yard field goals.
The Horned Frogs trailed 14-3 at the half and closed to within 17-6 on Kell's second make of the game with 4:49 to play in the third quarter.
True freshman running back Kendre Miller, making his first career start, led TCU with a team-best 58 yards on eight carries.
Trevon Moehrig and Garret Wallow led the TCU defensive effort with 10 tackles each.

TCU has an open date next Saturday before returning to action Nov. 28 at Kansas.
