The No. 21 pair of Nuñez and Alex Rybakov secured their fifth-straight doubles victory last week with wins over No. 13 Oklahoma and No. 8 Oklahoma State. The duo took down the Cowboys' Lucas Gerch and Jurence Mendoza, 6-4, before defeating No. 23 Alex Ghilea Florin Bragusi of Oklahoma, 6-2.
Nuñez also went undefeated in singles in those two Big 12 matchups. He defeated Gerch 6-2, 6-2, and shut down Oklahoma's Florin Bragusi, 6-2, 7-5, as the No. 16 TCU men's tennis team garnered its eighth-straight victory and fourth over a top-15 opponent this season as the team.
Up next, the team will wrap-up nonconference action by welcoming USF on Monday, April 10 at noon at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.
Greene and Neal led the way as TCU's beach volleyball team as they were crowned champions of the ULM Bayou Beach Bash last week. The duo went undefeated throughout their four matches, opening the tournament with a wins over Madison Green and Madi Fitzsimmons of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, 21-10, 21-17. They went on to top Houston Baptist, 21-16, 21-17. Greene and Neal closed out competition with a 21-15, 21-14, win over Central Arkansas and a put a stamp on their week with by taking the last match against ULM, 21-13, 21-14.
Greene and Neal extended their match winning streak to seven consecutive matches and will look to continue building momentum as the team hits the court next at the Florida State Tournament beginning April 7.
