
Mazier in Third at Chambers Bay

UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. – After a two-round day at the Redhawk Invitational, sophomore Pierre Mazier is tied for third place and three back of the leader heading into Tuesday's final round.
Mazier shot 1-under 70 in the first round and 2-under 69 in the second round at the par 71 Chambers Bay. His total of 3-under 139 is tied with three others and is three strokes behind the leader, Dylan Wu of Northwestern who shot 6-under 136 on Monday. The 69 was Mazier's fourth sub-70 round and it was the best overall score after two rounds in his career.
TCU shot 18-over 586 and tied for sixth with Louisiana-Monroe. Iowa State leads the 18-team tournament at 4-over 572.
Sophomore Stefano Mazzoli is tied for 16th at 3-over 145. After back-to-back rounds of 75, senior Chelso Barrett is tied for 44th at 8-over 150.
TCU Notables
- Mazier had three birdies in the first round and four in the second round.
- Sophomores Triston Fisher and Turner MacLean are tied for 58th and tied for 62nd, respectively.
