SPRINGTOWN, Texas -- The Horned Frogs claimed three MOPs in the last home meet of the season, where No. 10 TCU fell in the final moments to No. 8 South Carolina, 9-8.
The Rundown
TCU Equestrian is now 4-5 on the season after their final home meet of this regular season. South Carolina improves to 5-5.
The Horned Frogs posted a 5-3 victory in Hunt Seat on Sunday, with a 3-1 showing from TCU in Equitation over Fences. Kari Hancock earned MOP after an 84-point ride to drop South Carolina's Sydney Smith who had a 77. Hancock went 3-0-1 on the weekend in both Hunt Seat events.
Notable in Equitation on the Flat was Carley Barnett with a score of 90 on Lotus, earning her the MOP honor and clinching a point for the Frogs. Hancock and Emelie Burgess were also impressive, posting scores of 84 and 83, respectively.
On the Western side, freshman MG Reed won the lone point for the Frogs for her impressive 74-point performance on Reno en route to earning the MOP title for Reining. It seemed Carly Lombard had her point but fell short when South Carolina's Paisley Roberts posted a score half a point higher, earning the point for her team.
Freshman Josie Mootz had an impressive weekend in Horsemanship, going 2-0 thanks to Sunday's 76.5 performance on Ernie.

Quote of the Meet
TCU Director of Equestrian Haley Schoolfield
"Today's loss was a tough one and we congratulate South Carolina. I maintain that I am very encouraged by the direction this young team is headed. Our three MOP's had incredible trips and our Hunt Seat team rode extremely well as a whole. We will bounce back and be ready for OSU next week."
