TCU Scores Victory on Saturday

FORT WORTH, Texas - Competing in the 7th annual Fiesta on Siesta for the first time in program history, the TCU beach volleyball team picked up its second win this season over Jacksonville, 4-1, before concluding the day with a 5-0 loss to No. 10 FIU in Siesta Key, Fla., on Saturday.
The Horned Frogs (13-5) opened the day by taking care of the Dolphins (6-13) in the morning match before dropping its first match on neutral grounds this season to the nationally ranked Panthers (11-7) to conclude the first day of competition.
In the first match against Jacksonville, two pairs moved up to 14 wins on the season as Ariah Palter and Molly Scheel put a point on the board with a 21-18, 21-17 topping of Hanna McMahon and Gabbi Nieto. Jillian Bergson and Jaelyn Greene completed the win over the Dolphins and picked up win No. 14 with a 21-7, 21-6 victory over Olga Nushtayeva and Shelby Babowicz.
The top pair of Michelle McNamee and Sarita Mikals moved up to 12-6 on the season with a 21-16, 26-24 win at the No. 1 position over the Jacksonville pair of Mayar Prestes and Kelly Koop. Blaire Pickens and Jordan Terral put together their fourth straight victory with a 22-20, 21-14 win over the Dolphin duo on court four.
