Rifle Inks Miller To NLI

FORT WORTH – TCU rifle head coach Karen Monez has announced the signing of Catherine Miller to a National Letter of Intent. She will be a freshman in the fall.
"Catherine is a student of the game with the dedication and commitment it takes to excel in this sport," said Monez. "She is looking forward to joining the Horned Frog family in the fall and is excited to begin this new chapter in her chosen sport.
"Catherine is a hard worker and will be striving to take her shooting to the next level. An excellent student, I look for Catherine to achieve success both in the classroom and on the rifle range."
Miller hails from Memphis, Tenn. She has been competing at a high level for three years, picking up gold medals in both smallbore and air rifle since 2014. Her first gold medal came at the Daisy National 3-P competition in Rogers, Ark. She's a two-time gold medal winner in air rifle at the Tennessee State Junior Olympics completion. She added a smallbore gold medal at the Tennessee State Junior Olympics in 2016.
In addition to her exploits on the range, Miller also excels in the classroom. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club and Mu Alpha Theta.
Miller joins Casey Lutz in the 2016 signing class.
