
TCU Drops Delaware State Friday, 10-5

WACO, Texas - The No. 9 ranked TCU equestrian program swept MOP accolades Friday en route to a 10-5 victory over Delaware State.
The Rundown
The Horned Frogs, now 3-2 on the season, made quick work of the Hornets in Hunt Seat Friday, scoring a 5-2 decision. Junior Jayme Omand earned MOP accolades in Equitation on the Flat and Equitation over Fences, respectively.
In Equitation on the Flat, Omand dropped Molly Gara, 89-84. Senior Kari Hancock was also victorious, upending Vanessa Rabito, 88-77. Hancock, the Big 12 Rider of the Month, is now 3-0-1 on the season in the discipline. Reining All-America honoree Molly Peddicord appeared to have scored a point for the Frogs on the Flat, but ended up battling Haley Anderson to a 78-78 draw.
Omand moved to 2-0 on the day in Equitation over Fences by defeating Gara again, 87-86. Carley Barnett and Emery Hanson both scored points for the Purple and White Friday in the discipline, downing Rachel Dantley and Emily Nelson, respectively.
TCU posted a 5-3 victory on the Western side Friday afternoon. Josie Mootz and Brooke Boyle brought home MOP honors in Waco.
In Horsemanship, Mootz improved to 2-2 on the year with a 73.5-71.5 victory over Shelbe Jarrett. Rylee Morgan scored the other point for the Frogs, dropping Emily Fick, 74.5-69.5.
Boyle earned her third MOP of the young season in Reining with a 72-70 win over Cheyenne Adams. Freshman Carly Lombard continued her hot streak, riding Wanda to a 67.5-66.5 win. Lombard is now 5-0 on the year. Abbey Kliewer rounded out the TCU notables, defeating Aubrey Braham.
