
No. 7 TCU Drops No. 5 Fresno State Friday

FRESNO, Calif. -- No. 7 TCU improved to 1-1 on the season in NCEA competition, defeating No. 5 Fresno State by an overall raw score of 1423.5-1369.5 at the Student Horse Center.
The Rundown
The Horned Frogs, who battled the Bulldogs to a 10-10 draw, opened the day sweeping Fresno in Reining, 5-0. Senior Brooke Boyle continued her winning ways Friday afternoon, dropping Taylor Dixon, 73.5-71.5. With the win, she posted her second-straight MOP ride of the young season and improved to 2-0 on the year.
Also victorious in the discipline were freshmen Claire Dittrich and Carly Lombard. Dittrich, a Nebraska native, captured her first win as a Horned Frog with a 67.5-63 win, while Lombard won her third-straight meet to improve to 3-0 on the season. Senior Carley Montemuro also had a solid day, posting a 69.5-65.5 win over Shea Gilson to remain undefeated. Finally, Meloney Morris scored 68 points on Noodle to round out the TCU sweep.
In Horsemanship, freshman Jamie Cook moved to 3-0 on the season with a 74-72 decision over Taeya Harle. Returning All-America recipient Megan McMullen scored the other point for Frogs in the discipline with a 70.5-70 victory over Rachel Williams.
On the Hunt Seat side, fellow All-America honoree Jayme Omand led the way in Equitation over Fences, downing Natalie Wendt, 84-75. Molly Peddicord appeared to have scored a point for the Purple and White, but fell just short to Alex Dirickson, 79-78.
Senior Kari Hancock and freshman Misty Redd carried the load for the Purple and White in Equitation on the Flat, defeating Alex Dirickson and Madelyn Keck, respectively. Hancock is now 1-0-1 on the season after a 83-79 win.

TCU has now won three out of the last four meetings against Fresno State.
