No. 8 TCU Set for No. 2 South Carolina

"Our team is very much looking forward to traveling to Blythewood to compete this week," said TCU Director of Equestrian Haley Schoolfield. "South Carolina is the defending National Champions and has already proven they are winners this season. We are bringing our best and are prepared for the challenge. The All-Time Series
The Horned Frogs and the Gamecocks will battle for the ninth time in program history Friday. The last time the two teams met was at the 2014 NCEA National Championships in Waco.
Peddicord Honored By NCEA
Junior Molly Peddicord was honored this Tuesday as the NCEA Equitation on the Flat Rider of the Month. Peddicord, a California native, opened the 2015-16 campaign, scoring an 89 in the discipline to move to 1-0 on the young season. She helped TCU record a 10-9 season-opening victory over SMU. Peddicord also posted an 89-88 victory in Equitation over Fences against the Mustangs.
Diamantis Crowned Adult Equitation Champion
Senior and returning NCEA All-America honoree Nicole Diamantis claimed the Adult Equitation Championship at the prestigious Capital Challenge Horse Show in Maryland this past weekend. Diamantis won both jumping classes and placed third in Equitation on the Flat, which helped her earn the division championship.
Scouting TCU
TCU comes into Friday having recorded a 10-9 victory over SMU last Thursday. The Frogs started strong with a 1-0 record on the season.
Against the Mustangs, the Horned Frogs claimed two MOP's on the Western side.
Molly Peddicord opened the year going 2-0 on the day, scoring an 89 in both Equitation over Fences and Equitation on the Flat, respectively. Sophomore Jayme Omand was just as dominate, recording an 82-79 victory.
On the Western side, returning NCEA All-American honoree Megan McMullen and senior Shelby St. Hilaire claimed MOP's in Horsemanship and Reining, respectively. McMullen dropped SMU's Jaclyn White for a second year in a row. The Reining team dropped SMU with a 4-1 decision.
Scouting South Carolina
No. 2 South Carolina comes into Friday following a victory over South Dakota State, 9-7. The Gamecocks are ranked No. 2 in the national polls and are the defending National Champions.
Against the Jackrabbits, the Gamecocks battled a 2-2 draw in Equitation over Fences before sweeping Equitation on the Flat, 5-0. On the Western side, South Carolina rode to a 2-2 tie in Reining. Individually, Amelia Vernon and Samantha Smith both posted MOP's in Equitation on the Flat and Equitation over Fences, respectively. Smith went 2-0 in the Hunt Seat competition.
