TCU Equestrian Adds Mootz Friday

FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU equestrian program announced the addition of Josie Mootz Friday afternoon.

"We are excited to welcome Josie to our team," said Western head coach Melissa Dukes. "She will certainly be a great addition to TCU."

Mootz will don the Purple and White next season after placing fourth overall in the 12-14 Horsemanship Division at AQHA Congress. She also placed in the top-5 in Horsemanship at NYATT, while finishing in fourth-place at PtHA World Show. An APHA Zone 1 Horsemanship champion, Mootz recently collected All-Around titles at the APHA Zone 1 and OQHA Summer Classic.

Mootz, who has earned multiple APHA Futurity crowns, has also excelled in the classroom, taking multiple AP classes in both language and composition.
