TCU Heads to Nike Golf Invite

PORTLAND, OREGON -- TCU nears the end of its fall 2015 schedule over the next two weeks, beginning Sunday with the Nike Golf Collegiate Invitational at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club. The three-day event opens with 18 holes tomorrow.

The 16-team field includes 11 of the top 25 teams in the latest national rankings.
Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club is rich in history and tradition, playing host to six USGA championships including Tiger Woods' dramatic victory in the 1996 US Amateur, his unprecedented third consecutive US Amateur championship. Pumpkin Ridge has also hosted two US Women's Opens, and numerous Web.Com Tour and LPGA Tour events.
Last year at the Nike Collegiate Invitational at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, TCU finished 9th of 12 teams with Andrew Presley leading the team with a nine-over par finish in 19th place. The Horned Frogs shot 43-over for the event (299-294-290).
TCU is coming off a ninth place finish at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate. Chelso Barrett led the Horned Frogs with a one-over par score for the tournament.
TCU will send the lineup of Barrett, Paul Barjon, Giulio Castagnara, Turner MacLean and Triston Fisher into competition this weekend.
