TCU Equestrian Adds Morris Tuesday

FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU equestrian program announced the signing of Meloney Morris Tuesday afternoon. "Coach Walter and I are thrilled to welcome Meloney to the Horned Frog family," said Director of Equestrian Haley Schoolfield. "Meloney brings academic success and an impressive athletic resume. She will have an immediate impact on our team."
Morris will don the Purple and White after claiming championship accolades at the 2014 AQHA/NRHA Dixie National Youth 14-18 Show. She also earned several champion and reserve championship honors at the NRHA Derby, including reserve-championship honors in the non-pro division of Ancillary.
The 2013 NRHA Derby Youth Non-Pro Champion, earned first-place accolades at the Clayton Woosley, while also ranking in the top-5 at the High Roller Classic. An AQHYA World Qualifier, Morris ranked in the top-10 at the 2013 NRHA Youth and was an Unrestricted Youth Champion at the 2013 NRHA Derby.
A former IBHA Youth Reining World Champion, Morris, who was a Missouri RHA and ARHA Reserve Youth honoree, competed on the NAJYRC Junior Rider Gold Medal Team, while also earning championship honors in the 14-18 division of the 2012 Arkansas Youth.
Morris, a multiple USEF Championship qualifier, is trained by Yonathan Baruch, Robert Huddleston and Tim Laws. She holds memberships to NRHA, AQHA and USEF.
